Ths trekking route is possible to do loop or extend to Sarez lake. If you are backpacker best option is to start from Bachor and end in Bachor, loop. Another options is to end it in Bartang valley via Shtik lazar and further to Bardara village. Bachor is small village located in the upper Gund valley. Bardara is in compare to Bachor is double bigger located in the Bartang valley. Route will leads you via Sakhen lake (4200m) Kawg hotspring, (detour & ascent 900m) back same route. Pass by Zaroj lake (4518m) and via first lake of Kullen.

    Day 1: Khorog-Bachor

    Driving along Gund river you will get to Bachor village which is a lovely, Pamiri settelement. You will have the opportunity to get familiarized with local traditions and the life of a remote community. Bachor is 3300m over the sea level, from Khorog to Bachor maximum 4 hours drive. Accomodations in a local guesthouse.

  • Bachor-Sajarot
    Day 2: Bachor-Sajarot

    Your trekking will start from BAchor, hiking along the Andravj valley, the valley is beautiful, the trail is easy hiking, walking along the Andravj river, lunch spot on the way, after lunch crossing to the left side of the river, its easy for crossing, sandals would be great. Camping spot in Sajarot, its a nice place, above the Sajarot up on the mountain there is a hot spring, which is very good for skin treatment, from camping spot to there it will takes maximum two and half hours. 6 hours walk

  • Sajarot-Sakhen lake
    Day 3: Sajarot-Sakhen lake

    Take the trail in the left sife of the stream it will leads you to Sakhen, the Sakhen is small beautiful lake, which means onions, that is because around the lake there are a lot of wild onions, the lake is located deep in a mountains on the altitude 4200m, most of the trail from Sajarot to Sakhen is rockey and not easy for horses to pass by. 4/5 hours walk

  • Sakhen lake-Sajarot lake
    Day 4: Sakhen lake-Sajarot lake

    Take the trail in the left sife of the stream it will leads you to Sakhen, the Sakhen is small beautiful lake, which means onions, that is because around the lake there are a lot of wild onions, the lake is located deep in a mountains on the altitude 4200m, most of the trail from Sajarot to Sakhen is rockey and not easy for horses to pass by. 4/5 hours walk

  • Zaroj lake-Shtik lazar pass-Gulzor
    Day 5: Zaroj lake-Shtik lazar pass-Gulzor

    From Zarojhiking along the the Kulen lakes, 1km turn to the left side and hike up towards Shtik pass 4800m, It is recommended to cross the pass in the early morning because the pass is covered by glacier, and when the sun is up so it wont be possible to cross it. Hiking on the glacier is about 2 and half km, and further down to Bardara valley. Camping is in Gulzor. Altitude 3500m

  • Gulzor-Bardara village
    Day 6: Gulzor-Bardara village

    From Gulzor to Bardara is about 23km, the hiking tail is gradually down but its easy walk, along the Bardara river,in some part of the trail you can feel the breez of the river. Accomodation in a local homestay,

  • Bardara village-Khorog
    Day 7: Bardara village-Khorog

    From Bardara village, taking transport drive along Bartang river to Rushan, the roa is quite bad, getting to Rushan and drive further to Khorog. 170km. driving net will varies between 5/8 hours depending on road conditions. Only 60km of the road is more less in good conditions.
